James Blake
Live Performance – with Another Space
Set design and responsive visual design for world tour
Inspired by the book Flatland by Edwin Abbott Abbott, the design for James Blake's 2016 tour explores our (in)ability to imagine beyond our observation.
Moving image is triggered and rendered in real time in response to the bands performance. The show design uses moving image and lighting in unison to transform the architecture of the stage, translating sonic parameters such as delay, echo, and modulation into geometry, light, movement and space.
